Out of Boulder City, Nevada, Fisher Space Pen was started when in 1953 Paul Fisher invented the concept of a "universal refill" cartridge, which could be used in most pens. It was a good seller, since stationery store owners could reduce their stock of assorted refills.
Not content, Paul continued to work on making a better refill. After much experimentation the new Fisher cartridge that could be used underwater, upside down, and even in space was created. Since then Fish Space Pen has continued its dedication to one of the best, all-around writing utensils.
