The Cammenga J582T Tritium Wrist Compass provides a hands-free way to navigate in difficult conditions. It is effective day or night thanks to easily readable 10-degree graduations complemented with Tritium Micro Lights. Unlike it's Phosphorescent counterpart, it doesn't need to be charged by a light source to glow in the darkness. This compass includes Tritium-laced glass, which is cut down into extremely fine pieces. Tritium is an isotope of hydrogen. It's converted into a gas and injected into thin, glass vials coated with a phosphor material, creating a "permanent" and self-sustaining fluorescent light, making it easy to read the compass in the dark.
Don't just rely on a digital device when navigating, as it's always important to plan for the unexpected. This compass is a perfect complement to your primary navigation or great to use for recreation, hiking, backpacking, land navigation, emergency or unexpected survival scenarios. The included 17mm wrist strap provides an easy way to have navigation on the go.
