Chamberlain's Leather Milk Restore & Protect Leather Care Set gives you what you need to clean, condition, and prepare your leather for the elements. Purchasing Chamberlain's restore and protect leather care set gets you No.1, No.2, and No.3 at a bargain price. Try it on your leather coat, gloves, briefcase, shoes, motorcycle, vehicle seats, portfolio, wallet, belt, or any fine other leather goods you have.
First, liberally apply No.2 Straight Cleaner with a cloth or pad to remove the most deeply imbedded dirt and debris. Clean off the dirt, grime, and sweat for your most-used leather gear and wipe off any residue with a clean cloth, repeating if necessary. It is formulated to penetrate deep into the leather fibers and help loosen collected clogging substances (CCS), providing a safe wash for your leather. It's safe and effective, non-alkaline, and pH balanced.
Then, use Chamberlain's No.1 Leather Care Liniment to replenish the much-needed oils that your leather is craving. It replenishes the leather’s natural oils, leaving it conditioned and protected. Leather Care Liniment, is a milky, water-based emulsion containing some remarkable leather enriching ingredients. You can use Leather Care Liniment often, for a quick, effective, cleaning and revitalizing result. If your leather is in pretty good shape and only needs a light cleaning and conditioning, Leather Liniment can be used on it's own.
Finally, apply No.3 Water Protectant to protect your leather from the elements. It's specifically designed to handle harsh weather conditions, especially rain and snow, with deeply penetrating natural oils and waxes that both condition and protect. Note that Water Protectant does not waterproof leather, but it does prohibit water from absorbing into leather to a remarkable degree. Why not fully waterproof your leather? Leather naturally absorbs and releases moisture in the air through a breathing process, and without this process, it either rots in the presence of oils and moisture, or drys out for lack of them. It is especially important to test Water Protectant first before using it on any vegetable tanned, aniline, semi-aniline, or lighter colored leathers. Due to Water Protectant’s heavy consistency, it will darken leather. But, these darkening effects will usually lighten back within a week of use as the conditioner has time to absorb beneath the leather’s surface.
